What Now?

Please see the following video tutorials that will explain the basics of using SiteVault to backup your sites. It is very simple but not extremely intuitive.

FTP Tutorial  SQL Tutorial  Site Tutorial

If you want to setup a Site you need a FTP Connection and a SQL Connection. Define the FTP Connection first because you'll need it to upload the SQL Gateway Scripts.

FTP Connections
A standard FTP connection, please select the FTP root as well, it'll ease things.

SQL Connections
Use the account information your site uses to connect to the database. The app will upload some PHP scripts that will act as a gateway between the SiteVault and the Database Server.

Select the FTP connection for the site, where you want the scripts uploaded and the HTTP path the program should use to access those scripts. Do not forget to click the "Upload Scripts" button.

Select the database name your site's tables are located in. If there are no databases in the list, the connection is either setup incorrectly or your server doesn't allow for Database Listings. If so, please add one by hand in "Manual" mode.

Sites
Use the FTP and SQL Connections you setup previously to define your site. Select one or several tables from the list, your FTP startpath and the HTTP equivalence path (some files written by scripts might not be accessible via FTP but are accessible via HTTP, we can download those too).

This is it. Go Backup!
