In the age of cloud technology, the importance of data backup has remained the same. We still have to save particularly relevant information in several places at once. In the meantime, hard drives are dying, and so are cloud services.

backupmachine
The backupmachine service allows you to back up your site and database. It’s done in just a couple of clicks.

Backup services are supposed to save the necessary data in the background, but you’d better never use them. That’s how I use this service. Once a month I get a backup of my site in the mail, and I always know that I can restore it. Absolutely anyone can back up their site with backupmachine. No special knowledge is required. The user has to do very little, and then the backup is ready.

iDrive
My choice for backing up all the important information from my phone and tablet was iDrive.

iDrive is basically just another cloud storage service like Dropbox or Google Drive. The difference is that it allows you to set up automatic backups of important data to your cloud, where those files will be stored for life.

PureSync
PureSync is a program for synchronizing files between folders on your computer. After trying many of the better known counterparts, this is the one I settled on. This program is the only one that is able to delete files in the source folder after syncing.

The program allows you to set up several types of synchronization: normal synchronization, backups, saving photos from the camera, and synchronization between computers. At the bottom you can see a list of recent tasks, and on the right you can see the tasks themselves, separated by type.

Digi.me (formerly SocialSafe).
Digi.me or SocialSafe is a program that automatically pulls all information from Facebook, Flickr, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, RSS, Twitter and Viadeo.

External Media.
I bought a Western Digital My Passport Wireless drive for data backup. also the drive is used as a media server. In terms of access speed you will not notice much difference between the regular drive and the WD My Passport. Of course, everything depends primarily on the speed of the Wi-Fi connection. But even heavy movies play without any problems.

Zoolz
Zoolz is a service for lifetime backups of your data to the cloud. Zoolz never deletes anything from your side, but only stores the last 30 file changes. So you can delete anything you want from yours. Zoolz will keep it.

Mover
Mover helps you move files between cloud storage in just a couple of clicks.

Otixo
Otixo is a service which will help to merge multiple file storages into one.

After registering, Otixo will prompt you to connect all of your cloud storage. It is likely that you will find all the cloud storages that you use here. If you don’t find the one you want, you can always vote for your service.
